Dear Reader,

I am a resident of the State of Illinois, who's been lost within the system for more than 20 years.  I am seeking correspondence and legal assistance of a Injustice Sentence and Conviction.  However, my conviction was for murder, in which I know nothing at all about.  Only meaning, "I didn't murder no-one", and i was found guilty of accountability theory.  And not for the actual commision of the crime!  My first time as a so called offender.

I have a clemency petition before the State of Illinois governor, asking him for a review of my case, sentence and conviction.  A mandatory sentence of natural life imprisonment with the possibility of parole as applied to me, "John Ramey", violates the Proportionate Penalties Clause and Due Process clause of the Illinois constituition.

This extremely harsh sentence is not proportionate to the Proportionate Penalties Clause.  The sentence is not proportionate to the offense and the rehabilitative goal of the Proportionate Penalties Clause, which forbids such a sentence in light of John Ramey's non-involvement in that offense.  It requires "that punishments must reflect the seriousness of the offense Constitutional goal of restoring John Ramey to useful citizenship.  All penalties shall be determined both according to the seriousness of the offense and with the objective of restoring the offender to useful citizenship.  Ill. Const. Art. 1, Sec. 11 (1970).

My request also is people ask the question by writing Governor Blagojevich, at 207 State House, Springfield, Illinois 62706 and www.illinois.gov.  In concern of me, John Ramey #N81025, docket no 26040 (How long should I, John Ramey, serve for not knowing what went on in a murder case but got found guilty of accountability).  Im open to any and all questions.  You can send me mail from my personal page or write to me at the address listed above.

Thank you!  I greatly appreciate the love Mieke and my family has given to me, love you all!

Sincerely and Respectfully,

John Ramey #N81025
